NoMachine for iOS and Android version 4.4.12 now available

To all NoMachine users,

NoMachine today announced a software update for its Android and iOS client apps. This release, analogous with the earlier desktop release, provides two factor authentication and a number of functional enhancements which improve remote desktop interaction using both virtual & external keyboards, as well as via traditional tap events.

Additionally, improvements have been added to enhance the remote desktop experience when connecting to version 3.5.0 servers including better color rendering and improved finger-tap support.

Enhancements include:

FR05L02816 – Supporting two factor authentication
FR01M02856 – Adding the possibility to save the selected node to open automatically
FR01M02859 – Adding a server configuration key to provide a disconnect/terminate dialog
FR03M02892 – Extending mobile device virtual keyboard to include missing keys like Alt, Del et al

 

Fixes for both Android and iOS:

TR09L04538 – Cannot create a new session or reconnect an existing one when tens of sessions are running on the same server host
TR10L04613 – The client closes after logging in to the server when connecting to a multi-node environment
TR10L04611 – Cannot disable the ‘automigrate’ feature to allow sharing the virtual desktop
TR03L04313 – When connecting to a multinode server, the ‘Create a new virtual desktop’ option specifies always the desktop type of the server
TR01M04868 – Users are prompted with two password requests when PAM authentication is keyboard-interactive
TR06L04449 – When client version 4 logs out from NX server 3.5 an error is displayed
TR01M04919 – Modifier keys and arrows don’t work when the mobile device uses an external keyboard
TR12L04741 – Double tap on mobile devices doesn’t act always as a double-click and it’s sometimes difficult to obtain
TR12L04735 – Taps events are issued in a wrong position when a mobile device is connected to NX Server 3.5.0
TR03M05069 – Session windows cannot be dragged when using Samsung S-Pen

 

iOS only:

TR09L04550 – The Tab key is not responsive in a bluetooth keyboard connected to iPad
TR09L04533 – Cannot find the private SSH key when browsing directories by NoMachine GUI on iPad
TR08L04511 – Colors are not correctly rendered on iPad clients connected to NX 3.5
