NoMachine for Raspberry PI 2/3, and x264

Remoting to my PI 3 working great.

I’ve grabbed and built the opensource libx264 patched version from NoMachine web site, installed the shared library as per instructions; alsa, I’m still unable to get x264 encoding.

Anyone have x264 this working?

I’ve attached from two different Windows 10 clients (with NVidia 560Ti on a desktop machine, and just Intel m5 integrated on a notebook).

Hi.

We checked in our labs libx264 from sources on Raspberry Pi 3 and it works. What system you have installed on the device? Can you paste here also output from command: ls -l /usr/NX/lib?

I’m running Ubuntu Mate 16.04.

ldd and LD_DEBUG hasn’t been helpful.  Any logging or command line switches I can look at for the NX binaries?

I’ve tried with and without “use hardware accelration…” on the host side system performance tab.

We couldn’t reproduce problem on fresh installed ubuntu mate 16.04 on Rpi3. Can you run debug, restart nxserver and reproduce test. Please send all logs from server and client side to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com or attach them here (size is restricted). Server logs say it using codec=h264.

Just client menu Display Settings tab says codec VP8.

All is working very well for me, so we can call this one done.

Please reproduce problem and send logs from /usr/NX/var/log/node/ on raspberry and c:/Users/<username>/.nx on your Windows 10 to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com or attach them here.
