    Hello,

I am using NoMachine on Mac OS X via NX protocol and a ssh-key. To add a security layer I wish to use 2fa authentification on the top of that.

I have read here that it was not possible in 2020. Is it now ?

If not, what can I do in this configuration to increase security ?

    Thanks in advance

We don’t yet support ssh-key login with 2FA, however other methods can be used and configured via PAM, in similar way to demonstrated in following article:

Thanks for your answer. In your opinion, what would be the best security ?

    – ssh-key with passphrase ?

    – 2FA via PAM ?

2FA via PAM, it gives you more flexibility, for example password plus one time codes (TOTP).
