April 9, 2014 at 15:19 #3036 rs_nomachineKeymaster rs_nomachineKeymasterTo all NoMachine users,
NoMachine makes available updated packages to prevent a vulnerability issue in OpenSSL 1.0.1 (CVE-2014-0160) which can allow sensitive information from connected client or server to be stolen. To prevent any possible attack, NoMachine has replaced all the SSL host certificates on its update repositories. Due to this, automatic updates for NoMachine installations prior to 4.2.19 are not possible. NoMachine strongly advises its 4.x users to download the 4.2.19 packages from the web site and apply the following procedures: Users of the free to use NoMachine version can uninstall and then install the 4.2.19 package or follow instructions below. Administrators who want to update their installation should download the 4.2.19 package and proceed with a manual update. Moreover, they should replace the SSL certificate used for the NoMachine Network Daemon (nxd) on the server host. In the case of Cloud Server, administrators should replace the certificate for the NoMachine Web Server (nxhtd). If a multi-node environment is set, it’s also necessary to replace the server-node key pair on each remote node. Instructions for replacing certificates and keys are available here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT04L00069 Supported Platforms Windows 32-bit/64-bit XP/Vista/7/8 Mac OS X Intel 64-bit 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8/10.9 Linux 32-bit and 64-bit
