    Hi,

After installing the NVIDIA driver, the player exits immediately after connected (can only see connection reminders, desktop not yet showed)

I searched some articles and tried to fix them myself, but I failed

    Server:NoMachine 8.5.3 in Ubuntu 20.04

    Client: NoMachine 8.5.3 in Win10

The logs you attached are from the server, though it’s not clear if you took those from the Ubuntu machine or the Windows client.

We need to see the Player logs from the Window client. Please see the section “Fourth Step: Collect Client Side Logs” in https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243. Attach them here or send them directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.

    Thanks

The problem has been resolved. Confirmed that it is a problem with the NVIDIA driver, and after uninstalling, it can be connected normally. The recommended driver from Ubuntu given is “nvidia-340”, and I installed the same one, which caused this issues. Later on, I discovered that there was another nvidia-driver-390, and I tried to install it, reboot, and the problem was resolved.

By the way, this is a headless server.

Thanks for letting us know. This confirms that it’s not a NoMachine issue. You might be interested in reading this post by another user, related to nvidia drivers from Ubuntu.
