Randomly does video render using software vs hardware?

I have been using Ubuntu 18.04 to connect to Linux Mint 18.3.

Last few connections are dropping back to some kind of software with message there is a problem with your video drivers?

So I tried Teamviewer and everything connects fine.

It seems it was an nvidia problem? Is it now resolved?
