    Hi,

I have a couple questions about screen blanking:

1:  I can’t get screen blanking to work in Wayland.  Should it work in Wayland? (both SDDM and KDE desktop) (forum searches didn’t give conclusive answers.  As we all know X11 is on its last legs)

2:  What is the method of logging in to the local system if I accidentally forget to disconnect remotely?  The screen just stays blank (or flashes/blinks white).  It’d be really cool if NoMachine would display a ‘login screen’ kind of like what Windows does with RDP.

Much appreciated for your thoughtful response.

    Hi,

    1) screen blanking is still not available with KDE due to missing support in the D-Bus API

    2) it’s not possible to show a login screen because NoMachine shows exactly what is shown on the physical display, while RDP creates a virtual desktop (virtual desktops are available also with NoMachine in the Terminal Server products). One possible way to regain access to the local system is logging in from a different player (even from a phone) and disconnecting the current connection.
