Hello,
I am using the NoMachine free version to connect from my PC to my Mac mini.
Every time I try to transfer files from the PC to the Mac, the Mac remote session completely freezes. It happens immediately after I select a file on the PC side. Then the Save Dialog will open up on the Mac but since I lost the connection (screen is frozen) I cannot click on anything on the mac side. The only way out, is to close NoMachine and reconnect to the Mac.
However, after I reconnect and I try to save the file, I get a dialog from NoMachine saying the file transfer failed.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

We’re not aware of such problem and we were not able to reproduce it. In order to go on with the investigation and to open a Trouble Report, could you kindly answer with information suggested by the “What to include” box (below in this page)?I’ve also other questions:
– The freeze occurs with any kind of files and sizes?
– Can you check if drag&drop file transfer works correctly?
– Does client side OS reports the NoMachine client as not responding, or you can interact with it normally? (e.g. open the menu while the remote session is frozen)
– This may be an issue with events, so can you please confirm all screen updates are frozen? (e.g. play a video before starting the file transfer)Thank you.

Thank you for the quick reply, and sorry for my late response. Please find my answers below
– NoMachine product and version on local and remote machine (free version, Workstation, etc).
Free version, v5.1.9 on both local and remote
– Whether the problem arises connecting to a physical or a virtual display.
Virtual (headless) mac mini
– Remote and local Windows/Mac/Linux version (Windows XP/7/8, OS X 10.x, Ubuntu xyz, Mint x.y, etc.).
local is Windows 10, remote is OS X 10.11.3
– The freeze occurs with any kind of files and sizes?
yes it does. I tried text files, images or other file types. the files were no larger than 1MB
– Can you check if drag&drop file transfer works correctly?
Drag and drop works without any issues. I can transfer files from client to remote and vice versa.
– Does client side OS report the NoMachine client as not responding, or can you interact with it normally? (e.g. open the menu while the remote session is frozen)
I can open the menu while the remote session is frozen, but if I move the mouse over to the client and click around, nothing happens.
– This may be an issue with events, so can you please confirm all screen updates are frozen? (e.g. play a video before starting the file transfer)
video continued playing when session froze. I just couldn’t click or do anything beside, close the session and reconnect.

Finally we’ve found a bug in our graphical framework causing the issue: after closing the file browsing dialog, the application remains in modal state and doesn’t accept all events.
We’ve noticed this occurs more often if you start the client in fullscreen, then connect to OS X. Can you confirm if this is your case?May 9, 2016 at 10:03 #11251BritgirlKeymasterThis was the TR in association to this topic. A patch was released in 5.1.22. https://www.nomachine.com/TR04N06711
