I’m using NoMachine 8.1.2 t0 connect to a Windows system from a Mac, and while it seems to work quite well, the one thing that’s bothering me is that the Windows and Alt keys are swapped from where I expect them on the keyboard (as is typically the case when using a keyboard with a Mac layout on Windows).

Is there any way for me to swap the position of the Windows and Alt keys when I’m using NoMachine in this case, but only in NoMachine? I don’t want to swap the position of the keys in the system-wide settings of either system, since I want to preserve their normal keyboard layouts when I’m physically using these systems.

This thread from a few years ago suggests that a feature for doing such a thing has recently been completed: https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/remap-option-and-command-keys

…but I can’t find any mention of it in the docs or UI.

Bumping this in case someone can help. Are there still plans to add a client-side keyboard remapping feature?

Hi, there are plans to add this, however it is not priority at the moment. It was handled recently in another topic, please see my response there:
