I’m testing the NX-client on a MacBook to access a Linux desktop. I find the performance amazingly good but unfortunately, some keys get mapped incorrectly. Example:

The curly-brace ‘{‘ on my Swedish keyboard is <Shift>-<Option>-‘(‘. When connecting to my Linux box, that key combo yields a double arrow ‘«’.

The key is mapped correctly when I use the same X11-apps but with XQuarts and ssh -X instead of NX. I haven’t touch any key-mappings anywhere to make that work.

Any hints on how I can troubleshoot this?

Hello. Would you try to setup keyboard with the “mac” variant? Run a terminl window and issue the command setxkbmap -layout se -variant mac.

That seems to work OK. Thank you!
