I wanted to try the evaluation version of the terminal server.
However, installing the version evaluation mode of operation is the same as for the free version.
How do I activate the trial version?October 31, 2013 at 18:20 #397grisou83ParticipantConnecting to the Terminal Server you should see a screen like this.
Clicking on the icons on the upper right (those with the +) you should be able to either create a new desktop, or run a new application instance (like Firefox or OpenOffice) in its own floating window.Attachments:
November 1, 2013 at 13:44 #406caronjaParticipantThe problem is just that.
That screen does not appear.
After entering the username and password, I get the remote control directly. If I try to connect with the client to the server with installed version 3.5 I get the right screen.
How do I see if I have a terminal server version installed?
I followed the guide to install, but in addition to install the package I have to do something else?November 3, 2013 at 13:30 #427titanParticipantTo show the version run:
> /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –version
Be sure you have installed the right package. The Terminal Server packages are here:

November 4, 2013 at 16:04 #436caronjaParticipantI have reinstalled the right package.
If i run > /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –version
The result is : NoMachine – Version 4.0.362But this is the same result i get on client version and from the workstation version.
I have to activate the evaluation period ?
Where i can see how many days remain ?November 4, 2013 at 17:32 #438sil04ParticipantIf you have installed for example Workstation or Terminal Server over a previous NoMachine installation, you have to uninstall, remove the installation directory and re-install the package you want to use.
You can then check the version once again by running: /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –version

I can see how many evaluation days remain ?
November 5, 2013 at 10:21 #452sil04ParticipantYes, you can. Run the following command to see when subscription expires:
$ sudo /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –subscription

I have a problem with the language. My system is in Italian but logging in with NoMachine, it starts in English. I can not find where to set the language, help me please.November 5, 2013 at 12:39 #468sil04ParticipantYou can change the keyboard on the server. Look for keyboard layout in system settings.
November 5, 2013 at 15:07 #477caronjaParticipantThe keyboard works correctly in Italian, but the whole system ubuntu is in English.
If I log directly from the server, the system is in Italian.
I think it depends from NoMachine and not from the system.November 5, 2013 at 17:32 #485sil04ParticipantAre you connecting to the physical desktop or are you creating a new virtual desktop?
If it’s a virtual desktop, which is the keyboard layout on your client machine?
In case of virtual desktop sessions, NoMachine tries to set the keyboard in the session according to the current keyboard layout on the client machine.November 5, 2013 at 18:04 #493titanParticipantcaronja,
