Windows 8.1 – Unable to create NX home directory

Nomachine free version, latest release. Connecting from and to a physical machine. Connecting from Windows 8.0 to Windows 8.1.

When installing the software i get an error “Unable to create NX home directory”. I press ok and reboot the machine. The nxserver does not load and windows event viewer reports an error “NX user is not able to logon as a service”. If i enable logon as service manually i’m finally able to start the nxserver and attempt to connect to it. Now i get an error “The Session negoitation failed – Error: Cannot connect to the requested display”. I have uninstalled my antivirus and disabled the firewall through windows and am still unable to fix this issue. I have installed nomachine on another windows 8.1 machine and it has worked flawlessly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
