Duo 2FA and NoMachine

Hello,

I just recently setup a server and nxserver.  Our server has duo configured.

When I ssh it prompts me to press 1  and then it sends a push to my phone and I can login.

When I try doing it via NoMachine via NX or SSH method,  it prompts me to input 1 for duo which I enter.

But after that instead of logging me in, it comes back with the same prompt to enter 1 for duo push. If I do it again I’ll get another alert on my phone but it never logs in.  It just keeps prompting that push 1 prompt for duo.

I also tried setting the auto push method,  I get the auto push but just comes back with a Authentication failed. Please try again.

So I followed the instructions and even reinstalled the OS from scratch and I’m still having the same issue.

 

Any thoughts?

One thing I would like to note is that I am using ansible scripts to install everything and I am able to get it to work on 8.10 using my scripts and NoMachine works just fine.

On the machine I am trying to get it working on, I locked it hard to version 8.8 and then ran my installer scripts.

That’s the only difference that I can get it to work on 8.10 but not on 8.8 using installer scripts.

Nevermind i figured it out.  Turns out to be a ad filter on sssd.conf.
