Hello,
I am trying to connect from a physical Ubuntu 18.04 client machine to a physical Ubuntu 18.04 server machine. After I manually log in to the server machine, and then I attempt to connect from the client machine to the server machine , then it all works well.
However , If I reboot the server machine and without manually logging in, If I try to connect to the server machine via the client machine, the nx player on the client machine is able to detect the server machine and connect to it as well. However I am presented with a white screen. If I then manually log in to the server machine , then the white screen goes away and the connection is re-established. It appears after every reboot, the nxserver does not auto start until you manually log into the machine.
I also have [removed] installed in both the machines, and [removed] is able to generate log in screen where I can type user name and password
How do I resolve this ?
Hi, this is indeed strange. You shouldn’t have to log in to the server locally in order for the connection to work.
Would you be willing to submit logs after having encountered the white screen issue? To do that, you’d need to enable debug, reproduce the problem and then submit them directly to forum[at]nomachine.com. That way we can investigate. Please follow these instructions. Thanks very much.
