    Hi all

trying to use NoMachine again after 10 years ago I used working on a remote Linux server.

My goal is to work remotely over the Internet on my PC using 3D applications (on Windows) and Python applications (on Linux), testing TeamViewer appear is really slow for 3D, NoMachine seems to be much more responsive.

My PC is dual boot Linux (Kubuntu 18.04 LTS) and Windows 10 Pro, want to be able to work remotely with both of them. My connection client will be my Windows 10 work laptop.

To start I’m testing NoMachine over my home LAN, and with a standard installation I can connect out of the box on the Linux booted PC, but absolutely not on the Windows booted one.

Since is working for the first I suppose there is no need to configure port forwarding or UPnP on my local router, there is any specific configuration that need to be done on Windows 10 to make him accept a connection?

    Hello davide445,

“Since is working for the first I suppose there is no need to configure port forwarding or UPnP on my local router”

If it’s a local connecion then there is no need to configure anything, and there is no specific configuration that need to be done on Windows 10 to make him accept a connection; it should work out of box.

Can you please send us logs, it will provide us more information. You can send them to forum(at)nomachine(dot)com, making sure you reference the topic as subject.

If needed, the procedure to gather logs is explained here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163

    Thanks @Bilbotine

I have sent you the logs, btw I just tried disabling Win10 firewall, with the same outcome.

Want also to specify my PC is connected to the home router trough a Powerline, the laptop using a wifi range extender.

Need to be noted I tested shortly the same configuration in the office local LAN (PC connected using cabled LAN, laptop on WiFi) and got the same result.

    Hello davide445,
in your logs there is no any sign of connection to nxd port (4000).
Last connections were on 14th August and since then there is no any attempt.
Please ensure that you are using the correct address/IP of the targeted Windows host, and also that your Windows host replies to ping run from the host where you run nxplayer, and uses the sam IP.
