bondtrailsParticipantHi all,
I recently migrated my trading platform to Linux (Ubuntu 24.04) and is hosted on the cloud (Kamatera.com), so its basically a VM. I’ve been accessing my platform via [removed] but unfortunately there are some known issues with it and my providers recommended NoMachine. I installed the free version and it worked ok but was advised by the NoMachine folks that I needed to install the Enterprise Desktop version.
Fine. I have no problems paying for service. I created an account, installed the Enterprise desktop version, and tried uploading my evaluation license but it doesn’t seem to work. According to the manual, uploading should be done through Settings > Status > Update and then clicking on a linkĀ in the “Subscription” section. Fairly clear, but when i click on that link nothing happens. Do dialog window or mechanism to upload the license.
Is this a bug?
Thank you for any assistance the community can offer!

BritgirlKeymasterHi, if you are using the software for your own personal use you can of course use the free edition. Enterprise Desktop, which offers more features such as browser-based access, SSH support, remote admin, unlimited connections to the desktop, is available for commercial users or those users who simply want more features šĀ Maybe the support team understood that you were using it in a commercial setting and hence advised the more business-oriented product. Both are equally suitable for your VM on any provider you prefer.
According to the manual, uploading should be done through Settings > Status > Update and then clicking on a linkĀ in the āSubscriptionā section. Fairly clear, but when i click on that link nothing happens. Do dialog window or mechanism to upload the license.
This is exactly how it is supposed to work, so if it is not working like that then there is a bug that needs to be investigated. Could it be that the previous free edition was not uninstalled correctly, or maybe you didn’t reboot the machine after installing the Enterprise Desktop package?
