First of all I would like to thank for your fantastic software!

I’m using NoMachine to make remote desktop between two Linux machines. The client runs on a Debian machine, the server on a Linux Mint installed machine.

Everything works very well with the exception of the ALT GR key (I can’t compose the @ for example).

The rest of the keyboard is properly mapped and all the keys correspond to that one should be.

    How can I resolve?

Thank you very much in advance for any answers!

Hi, can you tell us the Debian and Mint versions? Also, what is the desktop environment, Cinnamon for example? Are both sides Italian keyboard or another language? What do you get when you press ALT GR+@ in the session window? Is ALT GR working correctly with other keys?

Hi. After many attempts it seems that I have solved it myself.
The problem concerns only your Nomachine Enterprise client 8.16.1_1.
The standard version of NoMachine seems to works without issues.

But I want to point out the thing because it is probably a bug.

    Ok. Here the 2 PC:
Debian version 12 (12.9 – last updates) Bookworm, Gnome Desktop version 43.9, Italian keyboard.
Mint version 22.1, Desktop Cinnamon, Italian Keyboard.

    When I press ALT GR + @
    1) In the Terminal (for example) It works as if It “jumped a line”
    2) Next: I get the ò (the “plain” symbol in the keyboard without the press of ALT GR

Thank you so much for the very fast reply!

I’m not very technical but I hope I explained myself well 🙂
