    Hello!

I am also having an issue where arrow keys (and others) appear to be incorrectly mapped (same as this here and here).

Device information: I’m on a Windows 10 laptop (NoMachine version 6.11.2) connecting to a Fedora 30 workstation w/ Gnome (NoMachine version 6.11.2).

The problem: some auxiliary keys either don’t do anything or do the wrong thing. So far, it looks like:

    • down arrow key produces a return
    • right-hand alt key produces a left arrow
    • up arrow, left arrow, right arrow, right-hand ctrl, windows, and delete keys do nothing
    • backspace, caps lock, both shifts, left-hand ctrl, left-hand alt, and tab all seem to be fine

It looks like recent NoMachine updates made the problem worse (the windows key, some arrows, and right-hand ctrl did used to work) but this won’t be very helpful because I don’t remember what version I used to be using.

I have never posted here before, so please let me know if I am missing or mis-formatting any information!

Okay, so these keys all work for me now. I have no idea why things are better now (since they were not functional for several days before I posted), but I did restart gnome in between the time when it didn’t work and the time when it did (alt-F2, r, enter). So, everything’s fine for me now, but I did want to post this update in case a) anyone else is having this problem and b) this actually is a useful troubleshooting measure.

Hello. Should it happen again, please take notice of the result of the following command:

    xprop -root | grep XKB
