I have a Windows client connecting to a Linux server, both running 4.0.369 … I get no audio from the server. Checking the status by opening the menu panel, the microphone and audio are marked with a red X, and any option to change settings is greyed out.
This is a client only installation on the Windows box. How do I get the local client playing the audio being fed from the Linux server?

To know what it is, we will need client side logs. From the the server: nxinstall.log and node.cfg files.

But here is the problem reproduced, and the .nx directory under \Users\%username%\
February 6, 2014 at 09:49 #2143jcdick1ParticipantI did a full reinstall of both server and client, and still have the above, though I changed from the pure Enterprise client-only install to a full install on the client side. No /var/log directory on the client side, and still says “Audio disabled…”

February 7, 2014 at 18:27 #2169jcdick1ParticipantOkay, let’s start this over, if that’s okay. And hopefully we can get this resolved. It used to work, now it doesn’t, as stated above. But I just tried connecting to other machines that used to have audio forwarded successfully, and there’s no change.
I have a windows 7 client connecting to multiple Linux servers … over a port-forwarded SSH tunnel. UDP is not being used. My client has “Audio disabled on local connection” no matter which machine I talk to. Does the client automatically disable audio when the address for the server is “localhost”?
