    Hello,

I try to change some settings for the server preferences –> network services in the GUI and get a “Please type the administrator password to proceed” Message.

But i don’t know which user/password is expected. Neither the User Password nor the root Password works.  Any ideas?

OS: CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core)

    greets

Are you sure that you have entered correct password? If desktop owner has sudo privileges it’s expected that you should enter desktop owner password. If he doesn’t – it should show list with users, from which you need to choose root or other user with sudo rights.
