Hello all, since LogMeIn decided to drop their free service, I’m on the hunt for something new. I heard good things about NoMachine and have decided to test it out. It all seems fine and dandy, but I’m having one major issue – I connect to my remote machine, then get automatically disconnected right away. The local machine says connecting, and the remote machine says ‘user connected’ in the application bar up top, then it immediately changes to ‘user disconnected’ right away, and the NoMachine app screen on the local machine vanishes. At no point do I see any other desktop.

I’m using the latest versions of NoMachine (I’m assuming free) from the site (4.0.369) for Mac. The local machine is a Macbook Pro running 10.8.5, and the remote machine is an iMac running 10.6.8. I have tried reversing this (connecting from imac to MBP) and get the same results: bubble up top on the MBP saying ‘user connected’ the immediately ‘user disconnected’ and the app on the iMac vanishing.

Any help would be appreciated… I’m really looking forward to testing this program out.

Hi Muttonhead, yes NoMachine is free 🙂 and you are doing everything right. What’s wrong is a bug that we’ve fixed. Can you contact us direct to get more information?

    Thanks, Britgirl

Hi Britgirl – I’m having the same issue. NoMachine Version 4.0.370 (4.0.370) on both machines. Machine 1 is running Mavericks and can connect to machine 2, which is running Lion, but machine 2 is immediately disconnected when trying to connect to Machine 1. How do we contact you directly for more information about this bug?
