I’m working on a project that will be going remote in the New Year with 8-10 users accessing a central Avid project remotely via NoMachine.
I’m being told that the Avid project must be made smaller to keep NoMachine working well for everybody and I’d like to know why that matters at all.
Why would the size of a project hosted on a server (Avid Nexis) that is feeding 8-10 local machines have any affect on NoMachine’s performance when 8-10 users are accessing those local machines remotely? Why would NoMachine’s performance be affected at all?
All thoughts welcome. I suppose memory could be an issue but how much of a foot print does NoMachine really occupy?
Thank you in advance for any knowledge you can share.
