    We have NoMachine Enterprise Desktop Subscription Pack – Version 9.1.24 installed on an RHEL 8.10 workstation. It has 4 x GeForce RTX 4090s in it and we have a dummy plug connected to one of the DP ports on the NVIDIA cards. The xrandr command shows the plug as being connected:

    However, when I try to connect from Windows, I get a black screen after authenticating. The machine previously had an actual monitor connected to it and NoMachine worked with it. We’ve restarted the NoMachine service and the machine itself but we only get the black box.

    How can I fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi, seeing the logs would be useful from the server machine you are connecting to.

    Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Please use the title of this topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!

    The instructions are here: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT08U00298#1.1

    What is the dongle model?

    Please also show us the output of this command:

    find /sys/devices -name edid -exec sh -c ‘echo “{}”; sudo cat {} | hexdump -C; echo “Missing EDID.”‘ \;

    Please also try the first solution indicated in the following article:
