Black screen when changing resolution Mac to Windows

Hi

I just installed NoMachine to use it from my Mac to my Windows desktop.

It connected fine but the resolution is too high for my Mac as my desktop is with 4k screens.

I tried to change the resolution using the NoMachine options, it changes my desktop’s resolution but the display on the Mac goes black, no matter what I do it stays black until I reset back to the original desktop resolution (which is too small)

 

anything I can do?
