Black screen with MAC to Ubuntu connection

Hi,

I am using NoMachine 4.1.29 free version to try to connect from my mac OSX 10.9.2 client to my Ubuntu 10.04 remote host (GNOME desktop). I’ve left all the settings default, except that I had to disable requiring user permission on the linux server to be able to establish a connection. However the result on my client-side NX session is simply a black screen. No icons or anything. If I move the mouse cursor across the screen, there is no change on my linux host. So, it thinks there is a connection but apparently there is not. Please help. I have no idea what to do.

You should update your version (both sides) because numerous issues in 4.1.x  have since been fixed. Come and download 4.2.21.
