This is annoying me a touch, nothing I do seems to correct it.

I have tried Terminating the GDM service as detailed in another post to try and get NoMachine to generate its own display but all I get is “Failed to stop gdm.service: Unit gdm.service not loaded.”

The client machine is running a fully up to date Windows 10 installation with the latest version of NoMachine

The server machine is running Linux Mint 19.1 64bit XFCE edition – Fully up to date on all packages.

If i have any kind of monitor plugged into the server, NoMachine will start a remote desktop session perfectly. If i unplug the monitor (as this is supposed to be a headless media server behind furniture) all i get when trying to start a remote desktop session is a black screen, no log on errors, just a black screen after connecting.

This is a repeatable issue and happens consistently every time.

Hi, this is the same problem as discussed here: https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/black-screen-connecting-to-nx-6-7-6-on-linux

We can send you a patched package, please write to us at forum[at]nomachine[dot]com if you’d like to receive it for your distribution.
