    Hey all,

I have just set up NoMachine on 5 different hosts, 4 of which are on the same network.

    Network 1:
    – 1a: NX / Linux host running on port 4000
    – 1b: NX / Windows host running on port 4005
    – 1c: NX / Mac host running on port 4002
    – 1d: NX / Mac host running on port 4003

    Network 2:
    – 2a: NX / Mac host running on port 4000

I have forwarded ports 4000 – 4003 to the static local IP’s of each respective machine 1a-1d in Network 1’s router.  I can successfully connect remotely to 1a, but not to any other hosts on this network (1b-1d).  I can connect locally from 1a to 1c and 1d, but not 1b.  The Session log for connecting 1a-1b says…

    655 655 15:32:40 225.477 Connection: Initializing connection at 0x1110d10.
    655 655 15:32:40 225.532 Connection: Initialized connection at 0x1110d10.
    655 655 15:32:40 225.549 Connection: Starting connection at 0x1110d10.
    655 655 15:32:40 225.558 ClientDaemonConnector: Starting a new connection to host ‘192.168.1.50’ on port ‘4005’.
    655 655 15:32:40 225.654 Connection: Started connection at 0x1110d10.
    655 655 15:32:40 229.917 ClientSession: Started session at 0xe084c0.
    655 655 15:33:10 227.179 Connection: Connection at 0x1110d10 failed.
655 655 15:33:10 227.232 ClientSession: Runnable at 0x1110d10 caused the session at 0xe084c0 to fail.

I have port 4000 forwarded to the static IP of host 2a in network 2’s router.  I cannot connect to this host from any other remote client.

Does anyone have ideas on this?  Please let me know if you need more information.

Are you sure that you forwarded the correct port in your router settings? Second thing – after changing the NX port, it’s necessary to restart nxserver. If you restarted right after changes, please restart it again and check connection. You can do it from nxclient monitor – click on NoMachine icon in the tray – navigate to “Show the server status” and press “Restart the server” button.
