    Hello!

I have a brand new computer, and I installed NoMachine on it. I am able to use the client on that computer to connect to my laptop. However, I am not able to connect via my laptop.

I get the error “Connection reset by peer” consistently.

I know logs will be needed to help troubleshoot the problem – which logs are necessary? (and how do I get them?)

For reference, the host is running Ubuntu 24.04.03 LTS, and it’s running Gnome.

    Hi,

it’s not clear what OS is on which host 🙂

You can connect from Computer A (the brand new one) to Computer B (laptop), but you cannot connect from B to A?

We will need full logs from both sides. You can extract them using the instructions here: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT08U00298, #1.1 (server) and #1.2 (client) . For the client, if you receive a connection error, save the logs from the error dialog.

Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Please use the title of this topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!

I figured it out. The issue was wayland – I switched to xorg, and now it works.

We are glad the issue is solved !

Don’t hesitate to open a new topic if you have another issue.
