    Hi!

I am just testing NoMachine Terminal Server on Ubuntu (latest version). The client can connect local drives to the terminal session (e.g. C-drive) without any problem. But it cannot connect network drives.

The UNC-path \\server\share is assigned to letter Z on the Windows client. When I connect that letter “Z” to the NX-session, there is a red exclamation mark.

The only log entry, i found was:

17644 12:04:36 019 error: bad message from UNKNOWN local user

    …in nxfsserver.log.

Can you give me a hint on how to solve this?

    Thank you and best wishes

Is not currently possible to share Network drives within the session and so you should not be able to see, in your case, Z:. So it can be considered a bug. Not supporting them was a design choice a few years back due to complexities of handling the mountpoints.  That said, we’re investigating whether it’s possible to add support for Network drives for a future version.
