So i wanted to use NoMachine to create a remote desktop for a headless server.

But every time i try to connect, it gave me an error panel saying :
    “The session Negotiation failed.
Error : Cannot create a new display, please contact your system administrator”

Can anyone help me? I saw a post on how to fix these error : https://www.nomachine.com/TR02O07604 but it doesn’t help either.

    Best Regard,

Can you check if home directory of user exists on the system which you want to connect (user “idempiere” in your case)? If not – please create it with correct permissions. If it exists, enable debug and send logs to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Instructions about debug and collecting logs you can find there: https://www.nomachine.com/DT07M00098

Which desktop environment do you have installed on the machine (you can check output of command:
    ls -l /etc/X11/Xsession)?

If you don’t have any DE on the host you need to install such (for example sudo dpkg -i ubuntu-desktop for install Unity) .

After that remove completely NoMachine (sudo dpkg --purge nomachine && sudo rm -rf /usr/NX) and install again.
