    I need to connect from a Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS (Focal Fossa) to a Ubuntu 20.04.06  at work.

    It was working fine until today morning. Today when I am trying to connect, it is throwing me this error

    Cannot detect any display running. Do you want NoMachine to create a new display and proceed to connect to the desktop?

    If I click YES it is throwing this ->    The session negotiation failed.

Error: Cannot create a new display, please contact your system administrator

    Is it headless or does it have a monitor attached?

    Or is Ubuntu installed in a VM?

    What desktop environment is running there?

    Is Wayland the display server?
