The KDE plasma and SDDM packages on Debian are changing quite rapidly and profoundly, even on the current “testing” branch, which I’m following. NoMachine has been weathering all of this very well until a recent upgrade, and now I cannot login to the server on this machine. A quick overview of the problematic server side:
1. Installed Debian AMD64 package from NoMachine (nomachine_4.6.16_1_amd64.deb)
2. Window manager: SDDM Debian testing package, along with Plasma 5 KDE packages.
3. I see “on” on the connections section of Nomachine’s control panel.
And I found the following in /usr/NX/var/log/nxerror.log:
Info: Handling connection from 10.80.3.112 port 55977 on Tue Sep 15 11:54:40 2015.
Error: Wrong character “{” in argument: ‘var/run/sddm/{84a3b64e-1ce4-4485-b5d4-607b16ee9163}’.

On the client side, it’s Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, with the latest NoMachine package.
Any tips appreciated.
