    Hello,

I cannot login to NoMachine using Public-Key-authentication. I have added my public key to $HOME/.nx/config/authorized.crt in authorized_keys format but I get the error message “Cannot accept public key”

Is there anything more I have to do?

In which format do I have to add the public key to authorized.crt?

    Best regards,
    Ronny

    Hi,

authorized_keys format is correct for authorized.crt. Make sure if you’ve used the appropriate public key. Also change file permissions: chmod 644 authorized.crt. Instructions how to set up key based authentication with NX protocol you can find here https://www.nomachine.com/AR02L00785.

Another thing – you didn’t tell us about your OS. If you have problems with key generated with PuTTY-gen check that solution: https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/unable-to-apply-key-authentication.
