I’ve had NoMachine up and running for a while now with no issues. My Windows client machine rebooted during the night and I tried to reconnect to the server this morning and it can’t connect. My client machine is Windows 10 and my server is CentOS 8 and is headless. Saved my log and I see this error…
17100 16980 08:44:10 508.018 ClientDaemonConnector: Starting a new connection to host ‘192.168.254.17’ on port ‘4000’.

17100 16980 08:44:40 509.534 ClientSession: Failing reason is ‘A connection timeout has occurred while trying to connect to ‘192.168.254.17’ on port ‘4000’. The issue could either be caused by a networking problem, by a firewall or NAT blocking incoming traffic or by a wrong server address. Please verify your configuration and try again.’.
Now my question is since I don’t have a monitor on it I don’t want to have to restart the server, can I just try to restart the NoMachine “service” via SSH? If I try that how do I restart a service via command line.. (Still learning my way around Linux). If I restart the server and I have NoMachine start upon startup will I be able to connect to NoMachine from a fresh restart?
Hope the questions are clear enough…
Thanks in advance for any help… much appreciated!
Thanks,
-Jason
