    Hi,

tried installing NoMachine 6.2.4_1 on Ubuntu 16.04.5 x64. Both deb and tgz installation consistently fail to start the service:

    684 684 10:59:36 775.206 Io/Io: WARNING! Can't resolve IPv4 host 'localhost'.
    684 684 10:59:36 775.213 Io/Io: WARNING! Error is 99, 'Cannot assign requested address'.

Ping to localhost works fine and localhost is listed in my /etc/hosts as follows (tab-separated):

    127.0.0.1       localhost

    Any idea?

Are they excerpts from the logs shown during connection via NoMachine Player to localhost? Can you try to connect to 127.0.0.1? Is connection via SSH to localhost possible there?
