    Hi

I’m getting a very slow response from my CentOS7 server to the point that our POC test results becomes a ‘unusable’. Oddly this seems to be OS specific. Here I compare connection to two servers:

    Setup 1: CentOS7 + XFCE

    Setup2: CentOS6 + KDE

    NoMachine version: 5.1.54-1

Client network speed: 13MBPS down and 750 KBPS up

The client is identical for all tests (updated today). Both servers are virtual machine on the exact same xencenter server.

On My CentOS7 setup with the lightweight window manager the response is simply ridiculous:  If I open a terminal (xfce-terminal 0.6.3) on the NoMachine session, on average there is a 1-second delay between a key-press and the actual display of the letter. In contrast, response on the CentOS 6 machine is just fine.

I hope this helps. I really need to get NoMachine working on centos7.

Uninstall the NVIDIA proprietary driver, then reinstall the package mesa-libGL from the RedHat repository. Let me know if it worked.

If you need the proprietary driver (for better performance on the physical screen or if you mean to use VirtualGL) I’ll provide a more complicated how-to.
