    Hello,

I am running NoMachine client version 5.1.62 on macOS Sierra. I don’t seem to be able to change the settings as the authentication fails (a windows does not even open to request my computer password).

Looking at the logs in my $HOME/.nx I see that NoMachine is trying to use my Full name (this appears to be a default in Sierra) instead of my Account name. My user Full name happens to have an apostrophe in it and from the nx session log I see:

Error: Wrong character ”’ in argument: ‘xxxxx D’Auria’. (name removed)

I think you need to patch your authentication procedure to either accept non default characters coming from users full names or use the “Account name” instead of the “Full name” field. Fixing the character issue would be, of course, a more global solution. Could you please help?

    Thanks,

Hi rdauria, thanks for your report.
The problem is documented here (slightly different condition, but same issue):

A fix will be released in the next software update, you may subscribe to the trouble report to be automatically notified.
