I followed the instructions on the NoMachine website to install NoMachine onto my HP Chromebook X2 via the playstore. (Android version, 8.7.1). (Chromebook is on whatever the latest version is as of today, Feb 3.)
When accessing a remote desktop via NoMachine, I am unable to scroll using the two-finger up/down action on the trackpad – it just selects text – essentially rendering the application useless.
This problem was previously described in ticket TR03V11106, which says it was reproduced by the support team and will be fixed in version 8. I assume that didn’t happen? If not, is there an ETA for a fix?
Also, I was surprised to see that a bug which makes NoMachine basically unusable is considered “minor”.
I can’t be the only Chromebook user – what do other people do?
I’m aware I could activate development mode and run linux on my Chromebook, but that adds a layer of complexity and a learning curve I don’t need. Since (in my opinion) Chromebook is the ideal lightweight player for a remote desktop use, I would love to see a resolution of this issue.
