    Hi,

I have an installation of NoMachine (enterprise desktop). For a project I need to install the Nvidia toolkit (need cuda) and gnome desktop. With such combination, every time I try to connect, the client closes after authenticating the user. These problems do not appear if I uninstall the Nvidia toolkit, though.

When looking at the logs I get the following message:

    “2018-05-28 09:41:09 395.338 2055 NXNODE WARNING! Process ‘/bin/bash -c exec -a – /bin/bash -c ‘/etc/X11/Xsession ‘\”gnome-session –session=gnome’\” with pid ‘2107/2107’ finished with exit code 1 after 6,346 seconds.

2018-05-28 09:41:09 395.919 2055 NXNODE ERROR! Application terminated too early.

2018-05-28 09:41:09 903.438 2055 NXNODE ERROR! Session application terminated abnormally

2018-05-28 09:41:10 016.803 2035 NXSERVER ERROR! Received error message from node ‘localhost:4000’, ‘The remote application terminated unexpectedly.’.”

Does anyone have an idea of how solving this problem?

Can you send logs to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com? Please tar .nx folder (it’s in the home directory) from client side and /usr/NX/var/log from server side. More instructions about collecting logs are available here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163#1.

The player logs are actually missing from the logs you sent us.

Did you check “Don’t delete log files on exit” in the UI? Is it possible for us to receive them? Ideally, you would need to submit those and the server-side logs again from the same session.

From the server-side logs you sent we see you are connecting from Mac to a NoMachine virtual desktop on Ubuntu. Please confirm that this is your scenario.

Provided you are trying to run a virtual desktop session, try running it with X11 Vector Graphics enabled and disabled and see if there’s a difference. You can also try to connect to physical session – does the problem still happen? More about this is here:

You also state that the client closes. Are you able to try connecting from another client machine and see if the problem persists (a different OS)?
