Client session is visible on server ?

Hi,

I’m running NoMachine (8.11.3_4) server on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS (x86_64) running MATE desktop. Connecting to it from a Mac (Ventura 13.6.7) using the Enterprise Client (8.11.3).

Problem:

1. when I first connect I’m presented with the GDM login manager rather than going straight into the desktop
2. after I’ve logged in, on the server I can see that my session is mirrored there (i.e. on the physical display)…

I don’t think this is the expected behaviour?

Any suggestions or hints about how to fix this would be much appreciated.

Hi Jon,

The free edition of NoMachine is for access to the physical display, so it’s the correct behaviour. Maybe what you are looking for is NoMachine Workstation from the Terminal Server family for Linux?  Check out the differences here: https://kb.nomachine.com/AR10K00702.
