    Hey everyone,

I want to provide a .nxs session file for people to log into our system from whereever via SSH. Is there an option I could write into the .nxs file for the nxplayer to shut down or close the current window after the user logs out instead of returning to the screen with the session parameters?

I read about the –exit feature, but on my user’s computers the nxs file is not gonna be started with a command, so this option is probably not gonna work for me, right? ( https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/close-or-reload-player-after-disconnect-or-terminate )

    Thanks in advance

    Hi cyconical.
As you said, the only useful feature (so far) to achieve what you want is the ‘–exit’ option. We’re planning to improve the support for clients running in kiosk mode, but that will require configurations on client side.
If you’re sure your clients are on Linux, you may distribute a modified version of the client startup script which could append the ‘–exit’ option, so the feature would be triggered each time the user starts the session by double clicking your NXS file.

    Hey Tor,

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately my clients are using Linux, Mac and Windows, so an option within the nxs file would have been the best solution. I also want my clients to download the nxs file as I want to change the SSH keys every week or so. What do you mean by ‘client startup script’ which shall be triggered?

My goal is it, for the clients, to download the nxs file, open it, and after they log out it shall just close itself. Is there an option for executing a script on the local client’s computer after logout?

    You may try this product:

    NoMachine Web Companion
    https://www.nomachine.com/product&p=NoMachine%20Web%20Companion

It does exactly what you wish to do, the only difference is that it also ships a complete NoMachine Client, so users won’t need to manually install it.
