    Hello,

Does anyone know which product we need to purchase to enable concurrent connections to our Enterprise Desktop machines via browser? Right now, I can connect to them all individually, but I’d like to be able to connect to 3 in separate tabs, without having to end either of the other concurrent sessions.

    Thanks for the info!

    Hello,

You mention that you are being forced to close 1 tab in order to start another. This seems more like a limitation on your local side rather than on the Enterprise Desktop side because incoming connections by default are unlimited on our enterprise products unless they’ve been configured to specifically limit access.

Are you connecting over the NoMachine Network service, so using the Machine Id to start those web-based connections? With a Standard Subscription, you can start 4 connections over Machine Id from the same device or browser.

The Machine Id works great for each connection; it sounds like the NoMachine Network connection is what I need more of to be able to connect to more than 1 machine at a time. Yeah, it doesn’t make me close the tab, it is NoMachine saying I’m already connected to another machine and it is saying it will sign me out of the first one. Thanks for confirming the thing I need to buy!

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the answer. I purchased two more NoMachine Network Advanced Subscriptions, but I cannot assign this Network Subscription to my account because it says I already have one.

Here is what it tells me when I attempt a second connection:

So, having 3 NoMachine Network subscriptions didn’t help, as I can’t assign the second subscription to myself. Am I required to create a different username for each machine? It is just me connecting to all of my machines. I have purchased annual Enterprise Desktop for each of them, license and NoMachine access via the NoMachine app works fine within the network. I want to connect via browser using Machine Id to 3 machines at a time but I can’t. Happy to buy whatever, but another Network Sub wasn’t the answer.

Hi, I updated my earlier reply to make it clearer. Connecting from a browser is considered a device, and it should be possible to start multiple Network connections from the same browser. What you won’t be able to is launch connections from the Player and launch connections from the browser over Machine Id – that constitutes two devices.

If you are seeing this message when trying to start sessions in multiple tabs:

“You are already connected with a NoMachine Network connection on another machine. You can login with your NoMachine Network account on as many machines as you like, but you can connect from only one. If you continue, the sessions running on the other machine will be disconnected.”

it sounds like a bug. Can you confirm that you can start multiple sessions from the player (open the player and insert the Machine Id in the Search field and click connect) without problems?

About re-assigning subscriptions, whilst it’s possible to purchase multiple subscriptions per User Id, the service will use only one of them, so it makes sense to re-assign the additional subscriptions you purchased to different User Ids (or contact our sales team if you incorrectly purchased too many). Also, as as owner of an Enterprise Desktop Subscription, and a Network Subscription even, you are entitled to contact NoMachine Support directly to get technical assistance for your issue rather than submit your question to the forums 🙂

“it sounds like a bug.” – Yep yep, I think you might be right Britgirl. I can in fact open up 4 concurrent NoMachine app connections without any issues. I was actually able to do that with just one Network subscription as well internally. I had to upgrade to the Enterprise Desktop to use the Machine Id feature, which I love… but yeah, if it signs me out of each machine every time I switch between machines, I might just need to look for an alternative solution for unattended access.

Thanks for the insight either way, Britgirl! I think I will open up a support ticket and give NoMachine another shot before I start looking for yet another solution.

Hi, our developers are already investigating and are working on a fix. I’ll update this topic when I get confirmation from them. Thanks for your patience 🙂
