HorizonThunderjawParticipantHello,
Have anyone tried connecting to a MacOS EC2 instance on AWS environment using NoMachine?
I have installed NoMachine to the EC2 instance using CLI and trying to connect from a Windows based Workspaces and it looks connected (it says so in the logs as well), but the screen is completely black.
Looks like MacOS version is as follows:
ProductName: macOS
ProductVersion: 14.5
BuildVersion: 23F79The client workspace OS version is Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Datacenter.
If you know any solution please let me know.

BritgirlKeymasterPlease check permissions on the macOS system.
System Settings > Privacy > Accessibility and then “+” and add NoMachine. If it’s already there, remove and add it again (see this article for more information https://kb.nomachine.com/AR11Q01061).

HorizonThunderjawParticipantThank you for the advice, now it is not completely black but I am able to see the desktop background.
However I am not able to open any window or don’t see the deck below.

HorizonThunderjawParticipantNow I am able to see the dock and open apps. But somehow cannot open Safari settings. I can click on it but Safari freezes and I can only force quit.
Any idea?

BritgirlKeymasterIs it just Safari in the session which is freezing (so you can interact with the remote desktop and/or other applications whilst it’s frozen) or is it the whole session window which is freezing (so after Safari freezes, it’s not possible to interact with anything else in the session window)?

HorizonThunderjawParticipantIt is just Safari that is freezing.
Am able to open other applications from the dock.

BritgirlKeymasterThis sounds like a problem with the macOS installation and/or the AWS instance. If the problem was with NoMachine, it is unlikely that you would be able to access other applications from the dock during the remote desktop session. You should look for apple crash reports for Safari, see this link for instructions: https://support.apple.com/en-il/guide/console/cnsl664be99a/mac

HorizonThunderjawParticipantAlright, will look into apple crash reports for Safari. Thanks for the advice.
