Hey y’all. I’ve been using NoMachine to connect to a Linux server for a while and not had any problems until recently. I usually access my server from a Macbook. Last time I tried to connect it didn’t display anything on my local network. I tried manually adding a connection with the server’s IP address which didn’t work. I can access the server from the NoMachine app on my phone and can access the laptop from the server. The only connection that isn’t working is laptop -> server. Any suggestions for remedies? For context the server is running 7.17.1 Linux and the Macbook is running 9.2.18 mac OSX. Thanks!

Hi, when you try connecting from the Macbook to the Linux server, do you see a black screen or a message? If it’s a message, can you show us a screenshot? Not seeing the local LAN connection of the Linux server on your macbook might be because maybe the macOS is not configured for LAN access in Privacy & Security in the system settings? I know you said it was working before, maybe something changed when you updated NoMachine to version 9.2.18? What version of macOS is it?

(P.s ideally you should update your legacy v7 Linux server to a more recent version. If you prefer to update first to v8, please contact us for a private link to the packages as they are no longer public.)

Ah yep… just a stupid toggle in the mac LAN settings. Sorry to bother and thank you for the reply!
