    Hi,

I have a problem using NX client in my laptop to do a remote access via Internet to one of our branch office using DELL server with CentOS. The error state “Connection refused”.

    NX> 203 NXSSH running with pid: 7404

NX> 285 Enabling check on switch command

NX> 285 Enabling skip of SSH config files

NX> 285 Setting the preferred NX options

ssh: connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.193 port 47381: Connection refused

Do i need to install an NX Server to our DELL server or what I need to configure to have my connection to be allowed?

I’m still new in server world using an NX client and I will appreciate all your answers.

    Thank you very much,

    Jeff SJ

You will need NoMachine or Enterprise Client installed on the computer you are connecting from, and then to get to the server, yes, you will need to install a NoMachine server. See here for more details: https://www.nomachine.com/getting-started-with-nomachine

Choices of server are: the free version or one of the products from the enterprise-oriented range. Note that installing NoMachine on your Dell server will get you access to the physical desktop. If you would like to be able to run multiple Linux desktops (in your case, CentOS), then you will need a NoMachine server with the terminal server functionality: Workstation, Terminal Server, Enterprise Server or Cloud Server. What you download and try depends on your specific needs.
