Issue connection fails when Wayland is enabled. Physical machine with a vanilla installs Debian 12. Connection only works when the following line is uncommented in: WaylandEnable=false

    For manjaro it is /etc/gdm/customs.conf

For debian it is in /etc/gdm3/deamon.conf

    cat /etc/debian_version

    12.9

    gnome-shell –version

    sudo /etc/NX/nxnode –version

    NoMachine – Version 8.15.3

and for the vmware workstation VM on manjaro :

    lsb_release -a                                                                                                                                                                               eveane@media

    LSB Version: n/a

    Distributor ID: ManjaroLinux

    Description: Manjaro Linux

    Release: 24.2.1

    NoMachine – Version 8.14.2

    Codename: Yonada

    GNOME Shell 47.2

The following entry could be seen  in the target machine journalctl :

Jan 20 11:50:09 zeane gnome-shell[5271]: Window manager warning: Invalid WM_TRANSIENT_FOR window 0x800007 specified for 0x8002e3.

Hi, can you confirm what Linux distro is on the client device you are connecting from and what is on the server host you are connecting to?

Also, send the NoMachine logs from the server host. Enable debug, reproduce the error and then gather the logs. You can follow the instructions here: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243. Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Please use the title of this topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!
