Could not connect to the server

    Hello,

    I am trying to remote desktop into my Mac at home from my PC at work using the latest version of NoMachine Free VersionĀ for both. I am running Windows 7 on the PC and OS X 10.10.2 on the Mac.

    I have followed the instructions exactly but for two days of trying to connect have only gotten theĀ “Could not connect to the server” “Error is 138: Connection timed out” over and over. If I am doing something wrong, I am unaware, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
    Can you connect to the Mac from your home network?
    Did you set port forwarding on your home router?
    On the Mac you have installed the software that can to block ports?
    Please give the name and model of router.

    Could you provide server log files form Mac?
