I am evaluating Terminal Server Workstation for a small 2 person office, but we are running into an issue with printing. During testing I have tried other editions of NoMachine (Free, Enterprise Desktop) and they all come back with the same error when printing.

I can see and connect to the local printer with the client, but every print job fails and this is the error coming from CUPS.

Server is running Debian 12 with XFCE desktop. Clients tried have been under Debian 12, Ubuntu 22.04, Windows 10 & 11 using both the Free Client and the Enterprise Client.

I have checked and made sure my user is part of the lpadmin group as stated in other articles. I can provide any additional information needed if pointed in the correct direction.

I tried to change the Temp folder in config with :

    DisplayAgentTempDir /tmp/nxprint
    CreateDisplayAgentTempDir 1

But no luck, it seems the paramters are ignored
change the device path to temp via symlink no luck.

    I cant print.
that’s the error if i tiry to print an test:
I’ve deleted all symlinks an restarted, so it’s default again

Hi, we have a Trouble Report for “Cannot print from Linux to Windows on a shared printer” – https://kb.nomachine.com/TR09V11210. Work has already been done to fix print problems on Windows/Linux client and server components. The fix has been scheduled for the next maintenance.
