    Going from Ubuntu 22.04 xorg into Ubuntu 22.04 Wayland.  Cursor image does not change state in the local machine (client ???), for example when hovering over edge of window for resizing.  I can see the remote machine’s display and the mouse icon does change there.  I noticed it varies by the app.  Gnome-terminal, it is as I described, rythmbox also.  However with Firefox the mouse icon does change as expected.

    Maybe this should be a bug report instead of a forum post, I’m new here.

    Can you check whether with X.org you have the same issue? Can you send us some screenshots?

    Is there a time delay to my post.  I just responded a while ago, with pictures, but I don’t see the post.

    Hi, I don’t see a reply from you with images. Did you see the “moderation dialog” when submitting your follow-up? In any case, please submit again.

    Works OK with X.org -> X.org.

    Attached are photos for X.org -> Wayland

    NoMachine uses Xwayland to get the cursor shape, but what you are seeing doesn’t depend on us. This is not related to a bug in NoMachine, but the fact that Wayland doesn’t provide a native API. Please see the article we have about using NoMachine with Wayland here:

    in particular section 4).
