cojetteParticipantHi,
We are testing NoMachine on our Linux workstations, all Ubuntu 22.04. I have installed NoMachine on two workstations so far, one has Desktop shared after installation but one is not and the connection is not working. I have tried remove and reinstall but still the Desktop is not shared. Please suggest what config I need to adjust or check any server logs.
Thanks in advance.

BritgirlKeymasterHi,
you can always check the output of
sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --statusrun from a terminal. If it shows “disabled”, then logs can be extracted using the following instructions https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --debug --collectSend them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Please use the title of this topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!

cojetteParticipantJust sent the log.
On a side note, here is what I got from
sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --debug --collectNX> 111 New connections to NoMachine server are enabled. NX> 161 Enabled service: nxserver. NX> 162 Disabled service: nxnode. NX> 161 Enabled service: nxd. NX> 162 Disabled service: nxhtd.May 6, 2024 at 06:36 #48020
gerardParticipantMake sure you don’t have a software firewall enabled.
That will 100% block connections to the server!

cojetteParticipantThanks, I made ufw allowing anything but still Desktop not shared, could you please suggest any other firewalls that may block it?

BritgirlKeymasterLogs show this:
NX> 700 ERROR: /usr/NX/bin/nxkeygen: /usr/NX/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.21′ not found (required by /usr/local/lib/AppProtection/libAppProtection.so).
Googling AppProtection churns out quite a number of threads:

cojetteParticipantThanks! I purged icaclient and its working now. We were also testing [removed] and weren’t aware it is causing problem.
